It’s impossible to win an argument with someone who is ignorant and happy in their ignorance.

That is taxation without representation, by definition. If my taxes go to support the schools as an African American, then books that reflect my ethnicity should also be in the school.

Not all parents can afford to buy books. That's one reason we have libraries.

As a white entitled parent he does not get it

"Moms For Liberty" are banning books. Moms For LIBERTY. And they don't even see the irony. 🙄

So then they are NOT for parental control. They're for a group's power over the system.

As a parent they can stop their kid from reading a book. There should be no banned books for any reading materials that are AGE appropriate.

The school board room meetings with parents are all you have to watch to realize it’s not really just about these types of books

Hard to have a civil debate with a narcissist who wont let you get 5 words out

Wait why did he go straight to people wanting pornography in schools, nobody said that. The question is why do Moms for liberty get to decide what everybody reads. Side note these books have been in schools libraries for years and no one was ever hurt or in danger because of it. Nobody’s forcing anyone to read them either. If you can’t explain to your own child that not everything is for or about them doesn’t that come down to your own crappy parenting skills 😆

Her argument is the usual racism rhetoric.

Banning books is the polite way of burning books.

Who gets to decide? The small vocal minority.

It's difficult to win an argument with someone who tries to talk over you when you have a point. Then they take your point to an "extreme" and compare it to something that has nothing to do with what you're talking about. An ignoramus will always try to twist words.

And they’ll let their kids read the garbage Bible more heinous than any book I’ve ever read!

Censorship only serves a select few, and it's unconstitutional. This country is supposed to be founded on freedom and liberty for all not just a few people

Some parents can't afford the books that a library should provide. A library should be a temple of knowledge available to everyone who chooses to seek it.

I was a pastor in a protestant parish in Australia which had a school attached. The wife of the previous pastor, who had been the deputy principal of the school had systematically gone through the school library and every book which contained fantasy elements, witches, goblins, fairies etc, she glued the "offending" pages together making the books unintelligible. When she left her actions were reversed. Fundamentalist Christianty always seeks to censor what everyone else wants to access.
