A high quality subfloor installation adds to the strength of the structure and comfort of the occupants (e.g no squeaks). First row sets up the rest of the install to be efficient.  Step 1) Snap a line, 2) glue 3) lay the sheets with the groove edge on the line 4) tack them to the line at each end 5) pull layout to keep your on center spacing 6) nail off the panel.  Its better to do it right than to set a land speed record.

Total noob here who is trying to learn. What does “pull layout” and “tack layout” mean? I understand the tack part, that’s about it.

Is that water coming out of the nail gun?? If so please drain your tank more often. If you have ever seen a ait tank blow up from being weakened by rust you will understand.

I like the pam screw gun, my guys haven’t broken them yet. Most of my houses have steel in them so I always get humps so I have to plane the 1-1/8 advantec and it’s easier to remove a screw then a ring shanked 10. 3.4.5 and water level boyeee
