Before Stephanie's late father passed away some years ago, I was in discussions with him about organising an Australian concert tour for Stephanie. Sadly his untimely death occurred before the discussions had made much headway, so nothing eventuated. However, it's nice to see she has a very successful career along with her husband Paolo.

The Greatest stride piano players in history are ; Art Tatum, James P. Johnson and Thomas "Fats" Waller. Ms. Trick is easily
also on on that list. I saw a video of Stephanie playing Fats Waller's "Hand Full of Keys". I've been in love with her playing ever since.

Saw Stephanie and Paolo 2 weeks ago for 4 sets over the 3 day Jazz Bash weekend in Monterey CA. And it was amazing. Paolo is extremely talented, and Stephanie is beyond even possible. She is not only uniquely talented, but her persona lights up the stage. They performed mostly on 2 pianos, which I personally prefer to 4 hands on one piano as it allow for exponentially more arrangement possibilities. And every song went thru countless modulations and styles. A pure joy. Can't wait to see them again.
