Can’t get the new cartridge in. Have now spent 2 days trying do it looks like I have to discard this printer and try another printer. Have watched this video up teen times and my cartridge does not slide in. 1:28

Mine doesn’t automatically move to the center when you open it. Mine is brand new. Out of the box broke.
My printer stopped, so I replaced the black ink cartridge, which is what the error message had pointed out: "col blk 168A". I was certain to be sure that the cartridge was the correct one, and installed fully, taking it out and back in several times and seating it properly. Now when I power up the printer, the ink cartridge slides half way, and then SLAMS back to the right....continuously, unless I pull the power cord. Brother printers are the only printers that actually work these days.

I hate this printer so much i just threw it off my 3rd story window. F cannon printers

I printed 17 black and white pages and then had to replace the black cartridge.
17 pages. that was it.
