Gimnazija Kranj Christmas Concert 2016 - American Night. In sold out Gallus Hall (Cankarjev dom, Slovenia) The Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra perfomed The Syncopated Clock by Leroy Anderson. Our kids and their friends played this work of art stunningly. The Concert was sold out in record time of 3 minutes (1500 seats). It was magic musical and artistic experience. Maestro Nejc Bečan did again an superiror interpretation of this magnificent work od american cultural and musical heritage. Headmaster: mag. Excellent performance true to the original. It's nice to hear this music still being performed several generations after it was written. This piece was a famous introduction to a television show in New York for many years and that is where I first heard it.

Another fun piece by Leroy Anderson. Although well played in this ;performance, to me it seemed like they played it almost as a lullaby instead of with playful spirit. But that's just me airing my interpretation and not nitpicking criticism.
