People keep saying “Black Swan on Ice” but I’m getting more “Flesh and Bone” vibes...which I guess you could argue is kinda like Black Swan but less about the psychological unraveling of one character and more about the very fucked up underbelly of large ballet companies and how looking perfect and pleasing donors supersedes the physical or emotional needs of any but the most “favourite” dancers. Go watch that show. It’s an Amazon Prime show but it’s probably on streaming sites. Anyway, this reminds me more of that. How the outside world will use her because she’s talented rather than a delusional, tragic need to be “perfect” like Black Swan. Wow, sorry for the novel. Anyway, I’ll probably watch this, especially if they really go there and don’t make it some PG13 teen drama.
