Vans KNU SKOOL | Shoe of the Summer or just Hype?
These are the vans KNU SKOOL. Popularized by Imran Potato's release last year, this model is being reissued from way back to the 90s. The shoe was surprisingly difficult to acquire due to the hype all over social media, but was finally able to track down a pair of these oversized old skools. Is this a must cop for a summer sneaker or is it just hype? Let's talk about it!

Being a 90s kid skating in DC’s and Vans these are crazy nostalgic to me and really happy they brought them back. Even if it is hype, younger generation getting to enjoy things we used to rock back then is cool to see.

These were actually around back in the 90s. The potato collab was them reintroducing the model. I will say though I am not surprised it took Vans this long to start pumping out GR pairs. I still remember people were fiending for those OG Vault Slip Ons Biebs was wearing back in the day, but they couldn’t find them so they had to settle for the mall version bc Vans would not restock them 💀

I got to the mall 3 weeks ago and saw them and didnt know the hype on them, they had my size and got them just cause i thought they were cool looking. I didnt realize how hype they were till after i purchased them and looked at reviews and people a week later asking me if i seen them, and got shocked at my response that i got them, and they cant find them, i guess i got them in time, they just fit my style and is why i got them.
Hype is crazy now!

The reintroduction and reissue of the Knu Skool.
The original Knu Skool of the 90's was reissued a couple of years ago by Vans Japan.
I wish I could get a pair 😢😢😢

37 and still rocking the Vans. My personal fav has always been the Sk8 hi. Especially the Skate Sk8 hi. Just copped me a pair of these. Can’t wait to rock them. I’m hoping they fit alright. I can wear a size 13 Sk8 hi but I’ve heard these run a little small, so I got the 14. I just wish they had the size 14 for the black/gum color way. That’s my favorite Vans color way of all time. It stays clean and matches with literally everything.

Totally remember these when they first came out in the 90s. Never had a pair. But had some similar ones, Vans use to make a lot shoes like this during the mid and late 90s.

Something about the idea of there being hyped vans just feels…….. *wrong* to me. The appeal of them is that they *aren’t* a hypebeast brand, they make classic and iconic shoes that are easy to style and are loved by people from all walks of life

I still have my old pairs of old Skools. Not getting the new ones yet. I did pick up a Vans sandal. It’s has a traditional Vans sole but it’s a sandal.

If you wore vans in hs back in 2010-12 you know they sold similar ones to these in all black with the checkered on the side with the puffy tongue but i don’t remember what they were called. They Were sold at swap meets and small mom & pop shops

These are 100% worth the hype! They’re so fcuking cool and that late 90’s early 2000’s look is definitely something I’m obsessed with, so I welcome these shoes back with open arms 😭
