The example at 4.42 with !in is very confusing. 11 is in 1..20. Please explain..

excellent tutorial!

I find kind of weird for this programming language to *only return to the variable whatever i write at the end of the code block of else*
does this only happen when using *when* as Expression?
and if it does, what is the benefit of that?
