30 medical professionals who volunteered in Gaza have written to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starker asking he cease selling arms to the Israeli Government.

James O’Brien speaks to Dr James Smith, who signed to the letter and who has worked in Gaza twice over the last 10 months.

He describes a situation where ‘the most basic medical equipment’ was not accessible, calling for a 'surge in humanitarian support’ alongside ‘violence brought to an immediate end.’

The chances are that there is a child in gaza right now struggling to survive with crushed bones and missing limbs, 3rd degree burns, lungs deteriorated from dust and sand, severe illnesses and infections, hunger of the worst kind, no living family alive to look after for them, no home to return to, no water to drink, no electricity to light their room, and no hope to live for one more day let alone an education or a brighter future.

Imagine telling this child that they have to suffer so that their tormentor can feel safe and secure...

In 2018 Israeli soldiers shot over 6, 000 Palestinians. In many cases they were shot with illegal expanding ammunition. So, did the present iteration of this problem begin on 7th October 2023 (1, 200 casualties) or March/Dec 2018 (6, 000 casualties) But you wouldn't have heard about this on western media, you would have had to google United Nations human rights abuse reports.
