My moms was the choir director and had me singing at age 4 which allowed to me develop a praising spirit that Im soooo grateful for especially in hard times 🙏🏽🥰

The talent in black churches is unmatched. I miss this era of music so much. Like going back and listening to these as an adult, the producers put their foot in these songs. This takes me back to singing in the children's choir in church and having too much fun.

Update: It went really well! I think though I was too nervous about everyone around me that I forgot to praise God in the process because I was so worried about nailing the next note or singing in the right key and just making sure that I didn’t have voice cracks and to also impress my pastor because it’s his pastoral anniversary it was a lot of pressure I’ll say 😭 I’m 15 and so I’m a songwriter/singer (kind of) and I play piano and cello and so I feel like I definitely could’ve done better and not focused on everyone else but focused on giving God praise. God did confront and remind me though of this that praise isn’t supposed to be perfect, its supposed to be authentic and the Bible says let everything that has breath praise the Lord NOT everything that only has a good voice praise the Lord and so God definitely told me that next time to not be such a perfectionist and let Him have His way in me because when you’re glorifying God with your praise it’s already perfect to Him. ❤️

I found this because I got into an argument with my husband right before bed. He fell asleep and I jumped on my bike to relax. I tried to listen to music and watch movies but nothing on my phone worked I restarted my phone about ten times. I finally gave in and knew God wanted me to focus on Him. I put in worship music and this came up! I listened without an issue and about 20 minutes in the Holy Spirit whispered to me and said " go apologize to your husband and go back to bed" I listened. I am now enjoying this the next morning with a clear conscious and pure heart. Thank you Jesus my King for talking to me 🙏 your Holy Spirit is such a sweet aroma in my life! All honor and glory to Our Father🙏🙏🙏♥♥♥♥
