If steph wins another title and gets FMVP, I don't see how he wouldn't be in front of durant in terms of legacy. Dude would have 2x more championships, 1 more MVP, 2 more finals appearances and not to mention 0 rings without steph whilst curry would have 2 without kd.

Magic - 3 Finals MVP's out of 5
Duncan - 3 Finals MVP's out of 5

Only Jordan (6), LeBron (4), and Hakeem (2) are regarded as arguably top 10 by many with a Finals MVP for every championship (Kawhi, KD, and Willis reed are the only others who qualify and have multiple FMVP's). Curry should have won in 2015, that was a robbery, and you could argue he should have won in 2018 where he was the best player in G1, G2, and G4 while drawing all the double teams and majority of the defensive attention. KD was left to go 1 on 1 or be wide open in both 2017 and 2018 Finals because of Curry being on the floor.

Curry is still writing his story, the ink is still wet. He could win this year and still have another 1 or even 2 left in him.

Curry is one of the best to do it & right now win, lose or draw he's proven he's better at being a leader of men than Durant will ever dream of being. I think the bigger question that ESPN is missing because it's obvious this will be their theme for today, is what does this finals do for Irving. The fact that the very team he spurned because of who knows what reasons is now in the finals and the fact that the Cavs made it to the finals without him & LBJ won another title without him has cemented him as a guy you don't want anywhere near your team.

steph did change the game. he is spectacular. but i still have a hard time considering him an all-time best point guard when he averages 6 assists per game. there needs to be a different category for that kind of guard. even when tiny archibald led the league in scoring, he led the league in assists TOO!
