At 2:49 a.m. EST on March 2, SpaceX launched Crew Dragon’s first demonstration mission from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The intent of this test flight without crew on board the spacecraft was to demonstrate SpaceX’s capabilities to safely and reliably fly astronauts to and from the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.

Crew Dragon docked with the ISS on March 3 at 3:02 a.m. PST, becoming the first American spacecraft to autonomously dock with the orbiting laboratory. The spacecraft undocked from the ISS at 11:32 p.m. PST on March 7 and splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean at 5:45 a.m. PST on March 8.

SpaceX's engineering and execution is getting so good that these really are becoming routine. I have a lot of respect for all the dedication and planning that went into making this so amazing. Most of all, the video didnt cut out during the 1st stage landing!

Speaking of planning, you guys have REALLY stepped up your livestream. I love the new HUD and multiple cameras to keep it interesting. I woke my mother up for the launch and we both loved watching the livestream!

You guys are turning Science-Fiction into Science-Reality

4 Years ago with no crew launched and today we have watched the Crew 6 Launch, it is really mind boggling that in a period of exactly 4 years this team have sent 34 astronauts that some of them are just civilian like us to space, just when you think about the future and see these things nowadays it is just really exciting.

Everytime SpaceX gets these launches and landings down flawlessly, I still can't resist jumping up and down in excitement! It was even more awe-inspiring to know Crew Dragon is on its way to the ISS! Amazing launch and incredible drone ship footage! This rocked my morning!
