The war in Ukraine is sparking fears about the use of nuclear weapons. Tom Karako, the director of the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, spoke with CBS News anchors Tanya Rivero and Nikki Battiste about Russia's nuclear arsenal.

I love that he dismissed the distinction between tactical and strategic weaponry. Rightfully so. I remember Fred Kaplan asking someone in the military about the yield of so called "tactical weapons" and being told they were in the low single digits. this was referring to kilotons. Fred responded by asking, "So isn't that basically what we dropped on Hiroshima?"
