Release Promo YouTube Track of the Day 03.07.2018
Tripp Baronner’s Yin imprint revisits James Monro’s ‘In The Ether’ album once again with Aman Anand updating ‘Rapture’. The Indian artist has been quiet this year with only two new productions, collaborations with fellow countrywoman Priya Sen in fact, both coming courtesy of Amber Long’s Modern Agenda imprint. Now we see Yin inviting him to reinvent one of the standout selections from ‘In The Ether’.
With appearances on Sudbeat and Juicebox Music, Aman has long been considered part of the progressive elite and his remix here once again showcases why. There’s always been an electric feel about Aman’s work and it’s particularly evident with a shapely, character rich low end. Once the groove has your attention it’s the subtleties which advance the storyboard, from gentle shades and tones to wispy effects and a hearty rhythic core. Short breaks provide key energy bridges, further building momentum without having to use sledgehammer tactics in the process. A mature and refined interpretation from Aman who was clearly an excellent choice to remix ‘Rapture’. Highly recommended.
