IMO if on a budget, Rogue is a no-brainer. If you are getting into the $40K range, the CRV Hybrid becomes very interesting, but base engine and base trims the Rogue is just nicer and better performing.

That Honda will outlast that Nissan every day, Rogues in the past were notorious for transmission issues, maybe Nissan fixed it, but for peace of mind and longevity that CRV will out live us all, have a friend with a 2016 CRV just turned 300, 000 miles runs as good as the day he bought it. Honda commands a premium price, Nissan is a lot cheaper, you get what you pay for. So in the long run, I'd buy the CRV
