So a few things to point out since no one in the comment section seems to understand. This flashback scene was made 7 years ago. Kawaki wasn’t introduced into the series until wayyy later, so the reason why time skip kawaki sounds like sasuke, is because Yuri voiced him here temporarily. Kawaki would get a voice actor later on obviously. As for borutos look and appearance, the headband was obviously colored incorrectly as sasukes headband is blue, and we can even see boruto here with sasukes cape (purple), or (blue) since sasukes cape are either of those colors via the anime and manga, which changed overtime. Since.. as we currently know in the manga, boruto has his own cape (red). Sasukes is still on him as he rests in the tree so It’s very possible that they changed their minds on what they wanted to happen to sasuke. Over all though this scene still holds up.

Nobody points this out but notice how kawaki refers to naruto as “The 7th Hokage” instead of Lord 7th like he usually does right now in the series. I wonder if his love for Naruto and the village stops at some point

It’s amazing how the whole series is on the line because of this flash forward sequence and how the sequence looks bad ass and then we have the actual series with a HEAPING amount of filler (not like Naruto where we go through the plot and the filler is at the end) that’s like half the show, the animation for most of it is not good, they changed the characters we loved to the point where we’re not their biggest fans anymore. I get that they have to show the characters old but theirs just something about how some of the previous teachers just looks off to me.

Fun fact: pretty sure everyone’s knows but the dub studio didn’t want to hire a kawaki voice actor yet so sasukes voice actor just dubbed kawaki

My prediction is that since Isshiki or Kaguya somehow comes or back or shibai and boruto and kawaki team up to fight them (isshiki, kaguya, or shibai) and they fight on the hokage faces leaving the damage shown in the village. Once they some how defeat one of them, kawaki wants to destroy the village or something that makes him evil and then the scene shown in the video plays and they fight. I’m probably wrong but it would be cool to see them fight isshiki or kaguya.
