I got it right. I feel like Ralph Wiggum in The Simpsons, "I beat the smart kids! I beat the smart kids!"

Love the camaraderie with everyone hugging at the end.

What a delightful trio - can’t wait to see them all again next time. Bring on the semis! Can anyone beat Victoria?!

Ah, shucks! I love Mattea! I’m glad they returned for their second season of J! Masters, though :))

Legitimately surprised they didn’t get that one!

I was thinking Cask of Amontillado, so I got *as close* as two of the contestants by getting the author right. And I'm calling that a win.

I think this is the only Masters final question I knew that the contestants didn't.

I got that one. I almost didn't but thought Edgar Allen Poe . Got it.

Hmm... Matt was locked in third place in last year's Masters Tournament and he was locked in 6th place this year. Mattea came in second place in a very close game against James Holzhauer, last year, while coming in 5th place in a very close leaderboard score against Amy Schneider this year. Could James, perhaps, continue the trend and be the next champion to lose in Masters this year?

I guessed "The Little Engine That Could."

Victoria is the new juggernaut. Congratulations

I got it and I'm surprised that none of the contestants did. And I'm also surprised that none of them wagered anything. Given the broadness of the category, why would none of them wager anything?

What is going left and right in 1842 and sounds menacing? Oh a pendulum a-hah! Surprised no one in the game got it.

Poe has been my favorite author since first grade.

1842 immediately made me think Poe, so it was just a matter of narrowing down to a short story he wrote involving a object moving left and right. One pendulum in my mind later, and I come to the correct response.

So much for a James vs Matt vs Mattea rematch but at least Amy Schneider proved herself worthy of being the Producer’s Pick by clinching a spot in the semifinals.

I was shocked that no one got this one. It was one of the easier finals in Masters.

Fun fact: This is the third known instance when all three contestants bet 0 on Final Jeopardy and the first not involving Mira Hayward!
