The nice thing about adding lead tape to the edge, is that there is a channel on the underside of the removeable edge guard. 1/4 inch lead tape fits into the channel so that when the edge guard is put back on the paddle, the lead tape is hidden.

Love this paddle. Great power and yet nice control for drop shots, dinks, side spin. Edgeless is a wonderful feature and the eepalcalbe edge guard does protect the finish. The compressed honeycomb has the effect of creating a solid feel on drives and overheads. I have the midnight and will purchase the lighter weight when I get a backup. This is one of the best paddles I have ever played. Currently use a Selkirk Amped S2 and this paddle blows it away. (The Selkirk is a great paddle!)

Hi. I compared a new Icon Lite to a loaner model at my local shop and the new Icon lite paddle has a silky smooth face compared to the used loaner model that has more of a grippy/ rubber feel. Has the face texture changed in the newer models? The dealer attributed it to the age and use of the paddle.

It sounds like a combination of the Kinetic Pro and the Electrum Pro. Has anyone played with it? Am I close with that guess?
