There's definitely some choice in being happy, meditate and control your thoughts.

People who don’t understand mental health disorders would be better off not saying too much about them

TL;DR I love living but I hate life. Depression can not be silenced, only subdued

While I do endorse what Tate is saying, it is a mindset, it's also an immensely wide generalisation. I'm so super fucking luck with my lot in life and I'll wake up like.... "Why, this shit is futile why prolong the inevitable..." Etc and im amused to admit I didn't think I was entitled to depression, still don't consider myself to be, I don't deserve it, I'm a nihilist at best. But if I take a step back I am more privileged than majority of the population, (I am far from rich, just grew up poor and fully appreciate everything we have in life), and even that fact can contribute to my black dog all the while still being excited and happy about things. It's a simultaneous struggle and yeah it is about what side you feed, but the thing I don't think Andrew gets is, I don't want to be like that, I am happy to lucky, so excited and intrigued by anything an everything, I have an immense lust of life coupled with a heavy impatience to be finished already.
Sorry for the rant, couple beers and no time off over Christmas makes a lil bitch get whiny 😂
