Best described on their website as - "Albannach is Scots-Gaelic for "Scottish" or "Scotsman". That's exactly what we are. Albannach are all born and bred in Scotland and our purpose in life is to share our intriguing culture, history and heritage with you by means of our music.

Albannach are not just another Scottish 'Pipes & Drums' band, indeed we bring a new and exciting form of music to your living room. A championship winning piper, an extremely talented main drummer, bass drummers and bodhran musicians bring you a brand new approach to percussion and Celtic music. Our style of music is exciting, energetic and enchanting and we promise to leave you begging for more."

Filmed here at the first Millport Maritime Festival on the Isle of Cumbrae.

I'm half Scott, and half
Most people, especially in the US, have more than one heritage.
Learning to respect, and draw from the strength of all your heritages can go far in helping you become a complete person

When I was a youngster. I saw a march with many pipe bands. Clutching my fathers hand and looking into his face. I asked why I was crying. He said it is because you are Scottish and the music of Scotland is moving you. I still am moved by the pipes and the drums. I used to go to the theatre to see the corries. Scottish music is in our family. My father was a part of the Scottish traditional music association. He played Scottish traditional music on the harmonica to a high standard. Touring small venues and sharing with other folks the music that gave his heart wings. I will carry those memories with me always. This video shows me the humble people of Scotland sharing their culture, their talent and the blood of Scotland. God uses music to speak without language. A universal language for all to understand. Albannach are amazing.

As long as you know it flows, as long as there are still people who know of their heritage, the clans will never die out.

Ahhh...my PRECIOUS Albannach...Jamsie on the bass drum. He has kept this energy up beating the bodhran for over 16 years at this frenzied pace!

I am Irish, Scottish, and Native American all traced by my Mom...great grandparents came to America from Belfast Ireland. This music stirs my soul and makes my heart beat a little faster. Much love to all my Celtic brothers and sisters as well as my Native American clan...A'ho

They performed at the Highland Games in Central Florida. Out of all of the bands, Albannach was the one that got everyone dancing. They were incredible and I hope they keep coming back.

It's not how much blood that is in your veins. But, how strong it runs through your heart.

I don't think there is a Scot alive that can't feel the hairs on the back of their neck stand on end when they hear the beat - It's in our blood - it's in our soul

I was fascinated.  I played in the band (not drums) in high school and I appreciate the trend to promotion of traditional style music that's happening today.  Kudos to this band for their heart and enormous talent!!
