Ikea Micke desk assembly

So the Micke desk in the Ikea catalogue doesn't look like the box which arrived on your doorstep. Assembling it is your next task but the only manual you have is a set of pictures. Sometimes you may need a little bit more guidance, watch my video demonstration and your package contents will soon be looking like the workstation you were dreaming of. The assembly process is not as difficult as you might think.

The size:

Width: 105 cm Width: 41 3/8 "
Depth: 50 cm Depth: 19 5/8 "
Height: 75 cm Height: 29 1/2 "
Max. load: 50 kg Max. load: 110 lb

Drawers sizes:
big drawer: 61,5 cm x 36,5 cm
small drawer: 23,5 cm x 36,5 cm
depth: 8 cm

Useful information:
* It is easy to assemble, even if you don't have experience.
* The outlet at the back will allow you to keep the cords and cables together and out of sight.
* You can mount the storage unit either to the right or left, depending on your needs and available space.
* Adjustable shelves in the storage unit allow you to regulate their height, according to your preference. Alternatively, you can remove them completely if you need more space e.g. to held a computer tower.
* An opening in the back panel is not ideal if you want to use the cabinet for storage. But it's a great feature if you decide to put the computer or other electronic equipment there as it provides fairly decent ventilation.
* Extra drawer units the exact height of the desk are available. Very handy when you want to extend the working space.
* The back of desk is fully finished so it doesn’t have to be placed next to the wall.

great video :) this helped soo much esp when the diagram was a little confusing. just disclaimer to other viewers, this video makes the storage on the left so if you want it on the right remember to flip to pg25 and continue this tutorial the other way round. i had to go back and redo the storage part cuz I wanted it on the right. thanks nemo :)))

The drawers are not fitting in properly for some odd reason. I have another one the exact same kind and the new drawers fit in fine but for the new one it keeps jamming. Does it matter which of the grey slides I used for the drawers?
