Amazing. You know, i like the contemporary singers like Phil Wickham and Zach Williams, Kristen Getty but listening to the hymn is so powerful. Struggling with a37 yr old daughter who has gone astray fearing, lost in the world of drug;leaving her nine year old son with a father who has jumped from place to place in the past year. When you realize that mystery in that song refers to the Mystery of the Gospel. God smiles at you, not because of you, but because of Christ. If you have trusted the mystery of the Gospel, God smiles within that mystery! Simply AMAZING

Just learned that Cowper wrote this after multiple suicide attempts and gave up committing suicide by surrendering his life to Jesus instead 🙏😭.
