one thing i love about this scene is even though its clear that Becky screwed up, there is a clear tenderness in Dan's voice initially like he is entertaining the idea that Becky is innocent until he actually knows she drank.

Becky is right about one thing, though. Her parents are the ones who drank alcohol in various forms in front of her all her life, plus almost every time they went out it was to Lobo's bar. In a sence her parents were in that scene like the ones who throw a rock and hide their hand. They should have known not to have alcohol in the house or drink. They want to be one thing and then trust the kid not to be inclined to try it. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. But since they aren't particularly Christian, they don't have that type of conviction. Upci Ipul.
