Yes, a 7W and 4H are the same loft, BUT a 7W has a longer shaft. Therefore I’ve found the 7W to be comparable to a 3H in distance. Goes like: 5W/2H, 7W/3H, 9W/4H.

Im glad you guys showed the face from the persective you would as a golfer, everyone else only shows the head from a shelf perspective. I found the white lines on the AI Smoke 7 Wood allowed me to turn off my brain and be confident of where the club was.

I couldnt hit ANY of the other brands except maybe the Ping, but the Callaway was truly a zero thought swing for me and an immediate in the bag trajectory for my swing from swing #1. I didnt know I was such a visually dependent golfer until I got a club fitting and could try everything and find out it wasnt me, it was the club ;)

As someone who hits long irons and hybrids plenty high for a good approach angle and with good distance, I still like my 7 and 9 woods. I can make anything go lower, but if I need to go really high for whatever reason, fairway woods are just superior.

It is also nice to look down at something and think "there is no way I miss hit this".

As a Lefty getting a 7 wood was not available at the big box stores. I picked up the pxg 0311 black ops 7 wood and it’s my go to club. The 7 wood hype is real.

I have recently bought the mizuno 7 wood, and have tried a few others, first time I have bagged a 7 wood, im 65 years old, its a beauty off ghe fairways i can hit thos 180 mtr this is the same as what i hit my
3 wood, probably going to take my 3wood out all together, 7 woods unbelievable for older golfers

I was using a 6 and 7 woods back around 1980. Wooden clubs ruled the day. Tour pros played 1 iron-SW driver 3wd. Wilson Staffs on.most bags. As a 13-14 year old, the 6-7 wood was perfect.

My Ping 7 wood is my strongest club. Dropped my 3 iron and put the 7W in my bag years ago. Never looked back.

I got a ping g430 for my first 7 wood. Its so versatile! I can hit it super high, low, or hit high cuts around trees 200 yards away.

I replaced my regular 7W with the Paradym ai smoke 💎 💎 💎 7W at the start of this year and it has been a revelation. Nice launch without the higher spin. An absolute weapon for all situations on the course.

I just stumbled onto this video. Excellent, really enjoyed it to the point where I decided I was going to buy a 7 wood then remembered I had a Callaway Steelhead III which I barely used. I took to the range and was surprised how good a club that came out in 2002 performed. I tested it against the Titleist TSR2, as I recently bought Titleist woods and a hybrid. Although I’m itching to buy the new TSR2, the old Callaway performed so well, I’ve decided that before I purchase, I will get some Trackman data because with the naked eye, I could not see a material difference in length between the two.

I added a Qi10 7 wood to my bag and removed my 4 hybrid. I am extremely happy with my choice as the 7 wood is awesome. The ball jumps off the club-face with a great launch and lands soft.

I started using a 2006 Cleveland Launcher 22* a few months ago, works great and I picked it up for $30.00.

My current bag: D-10.5°, D-13°, 4W-16.5°, 4H-20°, 5-PW 25-46°, 50°, 54°, 58°, putter.

Might swap in a 7 or 9 wood in that hybrid slot, going to being trying a few out this year.

I bought the smoke 7 wood and one of the best clubs I have. Way more confidant than a 5 wood or hybrid for me. For me it’s a 200-206 club which was hard for me to get before with other clubs.

Have ping q425 5 and 7 woods great clubs for consistency. Always in fairway. Helps your scoring and confidence.

I have have a taylor made R5 21 degree 7 wood, purchased in 2005. On Saturday, i got paired up with 3 guys, 22-23 age range. Had a blast, and when i told them the club was almost as old as them, it blew their minds, haha. Of course, i hit it about 205 on a tough par 3 green...atleast one shot was good. I love the club and almost can't replace it. It's like an old pair of jeans that are broken in just right

High lofted fairway weren't invented in the last year or two.
When the Callaway X2Hot was introduced in 2014 the stores in my area then couldn't keep them in stock. I still have the 4 (17º), 7 (21º) and 11 (25º) in my bag. The only thing I did was add a little tape to the very back of each club to shift the balance. Don't know how much better the new ones are but the ones I have still work good.
