Old Snake in MGS4 just makes sense. Advanced aging was discussed a bit in MGS between Snake and Liquid, and even more between Snake and Otacon in MGS2.

Even at the end when the enemy becomes an ally, Snake was still fighting just to finish the mission and Ocelot being a fan of the Snakes just go with it, he understands that Snake is the ultimate soldier and needs the final match battle to finish his mission or not

When playing mgs4 it was a big thing, and playing in return too shadow moses was a flash back too 1998, but only 10 years apart. Now, in 2023, u play it again. Its a different expiernce. You see and feel it with layers. Each pace, each feeling, each expiernce, the characters and yours. Time and era and the world that has changed.
