Nine Hole Ocarina Demo

I thought I'd record a brief demonstration of an ocarina in my collection with nine holes. It uses a different fingering system than the transverse and english pendant ocarinas, but it has a nice tone, and it can easily be worn as a necklace.

It was a gift from my friend and coworker after she recently took her family on a trip to Taiwan to visit her hometown. She showed me the pictures she took on her family vacation, and there are some very beautiful places there. She picked up a few souvenir ocarinas for me while she was there, and I am also teaching her to play the ocarina!

One thing that is really cool about this particular ocarina is that it has a larger range than the traditional pendant ocarina. It has the same range as a 10 hole ocarina, but it uses a different fingering system.

The excerpt I played was Arirang, a Korean folk song.

The ocarina's sound has not been modified.

That's awesome I have a 9 hole and I can't seem to find the fingering for it anywhere I'm trying to look for Son's of Skyrim. If you could help I'd greatly appreciate it. :D

We actually played this song when in Seattle for the OcSlam! I wasnt very good because we all used pendants and Im a pendant noob as David puts it. :P
