First Clue: The 3 nails u pick up in Mortimers study - an obvious hint to the crucifixion, (even if not so obvious, our hero will clearly question whether these nails are the ones from the crucifixion if he examines them). Ur mother will explain how the painting is the birth of Christ, but didnt work out. If not birth - then death (especially with this whole Mortimer is a devil + the 3 nails thing. So choosing that theme in the bible seem logical.

Second Clue: If u read both bible entries concerning the crucifixion, u will find they both are labeled chapter xix and verse 17 respectively - and the Gutenberg mentions the exact location Golgatha. So thats where u place the nails.

Third Clue: one of the aforementioned bible passages says the exact date - 8 Nisan. Consult ur notes - in the lower part theres a comparison between dif calendar dates. 8 Nisan is said to be equal to 26 march. So theres the date.

Fourth Clue: Even without using any skills, i think u will be told, that the Crown of Thorns symbol is related to the death of Christ. So thats the one.

Fifth Clue: The Moon. Consult ur notes. The very same passage that says, that 8 Nisan = 26 march, also says it = 7th of Sha ban. So use ur armarillo to determine what the moon will be like at that time. (Its simple, as it gives u dif dates to attune it too - one of which is 7th of Sha ban, which = first quarter). The symbol is the Half moon (again u are told this, if u study the armarillo). Now it gets a little tricky, as there are two half-moon symbols on the wheel. But again our protaganist, says that the shadow will move from west to east, hence u can deduce which of the two is correct.
Note: I actually screwed this last part up - had all the parts right, but didnt think about the two identical half-moon symbols. I restarted the episode, convinced it was either a glitch or that i made some positioning mistake. Turns out, I was the fool to blame - if I play it again, I will make sure to loose my arm for balance sake!

This game is awesome but the puzzles require so much attention that it really makes you impatient.

I figured out the resurrection theme. The creators are pretty cruel. With that one, I could open the circle, but mother was not satisfied with my solution. I hate religious puzzles.

The fuck! For me, i figured out it is the death/crucifixion. No matter how many Times I put the nails in it just would not work. Okay fine then, maybe it is the "rebirth" aka resurrections after death. And that opened it up for me. Then the game / Louis said maybe I need to continue with the same theme. Well yeah no.... apparently it should have open with the answer I thought first which was the crucifixion and done same way as show in the video. So I guess my game is just bugged. For fucks sake I have been triple checking every part to correspond with the Halo figure (my game even said that is what it is after a skill check.) I swear these puzzles in this game are so fucking dumb. there goes that playthrough and my motivation to play this game... This is probably the worst game I have ever played and I have played a lot of similar games. The Voice acting is worst I have experienced in a video game, the story is SUPER predictable and over all the fact that it was released in parts makes the game a slog to play though

I opened the eye with the theme of jesus's resurection in nazareth chapter 2 verse 3. Then i got impatient and messed up the rest.

How were we supposed to know which moon to use?

Worst part of this puzzle is him saying "Left to Right" cause it makes me think he's saying clockwise when he means anti-clockwise. Just anti-clockwise would've been way less confusing. Thank god I wanted to double check before pulling the lever.

I failed on 2 playthroughs on this even tho I spent so long trying to figure it out, 3rd time had to look it up and it worked thank you! Now I can play the rest of the game with 2 arms 😂
