Oh my goodness Cindy! This was amazing to watch! Your butterfly cage is awesome. My parents had a large backyard with all types of plants. I used to collect all kinds of caterpillars and put each type in a container with sticks and fresh leaves and holes at the top of the container for air. It was so fascinating to watch the different stages and then the piece de resistance... a butterfly. God's incredible miracle! Sometimes I didn't know what type of butterfly it was going to be until it hatched and what a surprise when it did...a butterfly. Last year I bought parsley. I wasn't crazy about the variety of patsley but I had tons of swallowtail caterpillars that did. I had swallowtails all summer long. It really is the most amazing creature. I would love to have a setup like yours. How exciting to see so many at once. I have milkweed seeds but forgot to plant them this year. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video and best of luck with raising these amazing beauties and contributing some loveliness to the world. 💕🦋💕

I too am a monarch mom. Have hatched monarchs and swallowtails for years. I had never seen the caterpillar actually hatch from the egg. Very very cool and educational! Am also from Michigan! Will be sharing this video!!💞🦋

I wanted sooo bad to send you a picture. I planted more milkweed this year. I have four Monarch Caterpillars that I have been watching. They are gone now, I thought. I walked up the side stairs and on the railing in a corner was one of the caterpillars. I watched, took pictures and went to Lowe's, came home and he was cacooned. We use those stairs all the time, i told my daughter don't touch the railing, I don't want him to fall. I am so excited. If the other three went up in the tree i will never find them. I had so many butterflies last year. That is why I planted more this year.I have Butterfly bushes and Lantanas also. I also live in Michigan. Guess i will plant more :) Being in lock down so much and retired at the end of Feb. I have had A LOT of time in my yard . Surprising what you find. Sorry for rambling on.. Love your video's, so interesting... Have a Blessed Week :)
