Thanks for the reflection. It's interesting to me that after so many years of singing and helping others to sing, I do still forget this, sometimes. In part, because I have a big, sing-it-on-the-hills, classically trained, folk sound. . . which seems to be considered old-fashioned in a music industry that appears to value a certain kind of pop, mic-required, narrowly focused technique. It's like I'm wearing a dirndl when the crowd prefers jeans, or something. Nothing to do about it at this point. Just interesting to observe.

I struggle with this since I can remember! And it’s hurting me cuz I want to be doing gigs and recording my demo and do all things with my image n sound but the hatred I have for myself and my sound stops me! But I’m doing better cuz Im willing to work on myself
