I did a row of double crochet for my first row and then did the repeat of the diamond. So much easier to start!

Just finished a king size blanket using this. It is huge and beautiful and so cozy. Thank you!

You’re the first one and I really thank you for this for just doing a swatch instead of a whole blanket

YES!!! You are the first person to show how to wrap the yarn around your pinkie! My grandmother showed me this and most people just pinch yard between their fingers. ~ (not good) Your video is fabulous and I love this pattern! Thank you so much for sharing this!

So pretty and with that yarn it looks soft and not stiff. If that makes sense. Once again you have made another gorgeous pattern. Thank you.

Thanks for posting this! I'm currently working on a blanket using this pattern, and it's looking great so far and will make a wonderfully cozy Christmas gift. My local Michael's didn't carry the Lion Brand Color Made Easy yarn you used, so I opted for Red Heart Soft Essentials since both yarns are bulky weight 5, and I can use the 6.5 mm hook with either. It's a little fuzzier than what's shown here, but I don't mind. I think this pattern would look good with nearly any weight of yarn and corresponding hook, though. It's a bit tricky at first, but once you stop and figure out where you're going it's not too hard to get the hang of it. After I give this blanket away, I may make another with this pattern for myself!

Thank you so much for making this video. I tried making this using your written pattern because I didn't realize you had a video for it and although I'm an experienced crocheter for the most part I've never done basketweave and I got completely lost on row two even though I've done cables where you crochet skipped stitches from the back. Thanks again.I'm about to start over

I just found you and this very perfect stitch for a couch throw I am making! Do you have a tutorial on how to change the yarn color during the project, I want to create a pattern with stipes.

So beautiful!!! I can't wait to make this!!! Can you mention your hook size in mm as well. It seems to be the only measurement that is universal when purchasing hooks.😊 thank you! I really love your tutorials!!
