Honestly, the only real drawback I can see with this is even with accurate motion tracking and virtually no lag-input, there won't be any force feedback. I doubt that technology is there yet but seeing all of the new VR-Focused products that are being developed really makes this an interesting time for a gamer to live in.

I think Yahtzee said it best: immersion in gameplay isn't about how closely your movements match your character's movements, it's about how easily you can translate your thoughts to your character's movement. The body shouldn't have to be an intermediate.

and then you should have some kind of weapon as a controller in your hands. maybe one rifle, one pistol and maybe one melee weapon to simulate the different weapons. they should weight as real ones, and having vibration function to simulate recoil direclty to the player. it could then simulate several guns, the recoil intesity can be adjusted by the game depending on what kind of weapon you have.
as well the reloading speed then depends on the player, how fast he can change the clips. there are so many possibilities!
