Despite being a terrible job CVS has floating holiday time similar to PTO but you pick your days based on your beliefs and culture and it’s not counted as PTO. The stores are open on all Christian holidays so instead of getting time off for a holiday you don’t celebrate you can work that holiday sometimes get extra holiday pay and still celebrate your holiday when it happens. My store had a diverse group of employees and it worked pretty well for us.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous how christian holidays are stats so most people get them off but non-christians have to use vacation time or work through their holidays. I’ve started practicing a religion this year that has 8 holidays dispersed evenly through the year and it sucks having to go to work and school on them because I can’t have them off like christians. Eid Mubarak!

Who gets two weeks off for Christmas? The schools, that's it. It's one federal holiday off. And we don't have floating holiday's like this. We have set holidays in advance for a reason.

Id just give both days off if i was the boss. I dont think an employee missing a few days is gonna harm the company.

Just take both days so if its Saturday, you have a day for prep
