Replace STIHL Oiler: A Complete Guide

In "Jr's Bad Day", another hilarious and proper how-to video, Taryl shows you how to replace an oiler on (what will work for) many different models of Stihl Chainsaws. He also shows you what else to look for that could be wrong with your saw and offers a home-made trick for a common problem as well. Prior to the fix, Jr. has a bad day where he just can't seem to do anything right, causing much disdain for Taryl. So sit back, laugh, and you just might learn a thing or two in the process. Thanks for showing how the oiler needs to sit in that notch on the chain sprocket. I rebuilt my saw and couldn't figure out why it wasn't oiling but once I watched this I reset it and it works now. Thank you

Taryl, you're a Guinness! The missing plug was right on the money. My late brother-in-law's chainsaw is back in action. He was not able to diagnose this on his old trusty Stihl and had bought a new Husqvarna that immediately had a pull start jam. In disgust, he put up both saws forever. Then I inherited them. He would be happy to see that they are both running now, in no small part, due to your videos.

I didn't know that they made higher output oilers for Stihl saws. I have an MS391 that has never put out as much oil as I thought it should even though it was set to maximum. I think I will take it apart and check it all out now. Thanks.

Bought a 10 dollar chainsaw fro a garage sale, same problem, missing plug, you saved me a bit of time, now i only have to take the muffler off, to address the minor problem.

I don't have this model, but this video did help me find the problem with my MS290. It was pumping oil but very little was getting to the chain.
