Pricy, but that tube thing looks like perfect preamp conversion and could make the vinyl sound better most def for sampling.

Thanks for the overview! Unfortunate that there is (apparently) no USB audio out for digitizing records on the play version. Having to step up to $800 (compared to $400) for that feature seems like too much.

Korg has gone off the deep end with their pricing of late. Kaoss Replay at $1400 and now these at over a grand for a portable turntable?!

I really hope that at least the Tube version will be at minimum decent.
I liked pretty much everything, so if it doesn’t damage your vinyl and sound bad, I’m definitely buying.

Pretty cool for people who want to do this type of stuff for experimental music but dont want to buy a used player, considering most newer ones are made more for home, and DSD quality is actually a sick feature, previously v inaccessible, hence why there are so few DSD recordings available, theres like a few studios in the world made to digitize in DSD quality

Speakers vibrate (even small ones) so I do not understand the concept of imbedding speakers in the base of a turntable.

The white DJ model will appeal to a specific consumer. Now regarding the other 3.. they should have combined the top 2 priced ones leaving one premium and one lower priced option.Offering 3 instead of 4 makes more sense and gives you the same market spread. Korg would then be able to price them better because now they would have better product focus. Too many variants won't sell well compared to a fined tune offering since the market is oversaturated with cheap to mid tier record players. The best way to stand out is to offer something appealing, has great features/specs and stay away from offering too many variants. Having 2 variants closely priced with not much of a difference was a bad move imo.

I love Korg gear. Lots of cool features on these. But basically they are a Numark PT-01 with additional functionality, and the PT-01 looks to be still available for about $170.

As a dj I can say the Play is not designed well and is overpriced.

its not worth paying that kind of money if all your going to do is lifting samples
your be better off just geting a half decent dj direct drive turntable and decent stylus
