You are hands down the best source of practical miniature painting advice on Youtube. No fluff, unlike a lot of other channels, yet effective visuals and clear instructions. You've made miniature painting so much less daunting for me. Wishing you the best!

I have just binged several of your videos. I personally think your the best miniature painting teacher I’ve come across. Much better than all of the bigger channels I’ve come across. Very detailed explanations and very methodical and clear instructions. Thank you, please keep doing what your doing, your a credit to this community.

I've always wondered why my metallics didn't look quite as good. I see that it's about delicacy as well as other colours! Why I didn't think before, I dunno, but I love your calming tone. Great stuff. Keep making them!

Hullo, appreciate all the content. especially enjoy seeing a quick and simple template that reflects good concepts.

Any thoughts on a video that talks on how to move from simple techniques to more complex ones? I am still doing big washes and drybrushes and would love to learn how to move from those to hand shading and hand highlighting.

Thanks again for the thorough explanations and good examples!

I don't know if you will see this, but do you think Vallejo Metal Color Chrome is good for dry brushing? Or perhaps another Vallejo metal color like White Aluminium or Silver? Alternatively, maybe none of these are suitable for dry brushing, and I should consider a different brand. (I plan to edge highlight, but not on every model—only the important ones—so I would like a color suitable for both edge highlighting and dry brushing)

Those Dark Star paints are beautiful. Sadly, they can be hard to come by in some parts of the world. Having said that, there are many amazing metallics out there. GW's Leadbelcher and Iron Hands Steel are of course the classics, but I've had a lot of good experiences with Dark Steel from Vallejo's Mecha Color range.

I gotta second the notion about washes. So many react with metallics in truly fascinating ways. A personal favourite of mine being Druchii Violet. That stuff does amazing things to metal and is perfect for demonic or alien looking models as it gives the metals an otherworldly look. Like it looks like steel, but it's something totally different.

Great video mate, im really struggling to do something similar with a slightly blue tint to the steel without it going to full-on like Grey Knights.
