Space is anywhere BUT Earth.

Webster's Dictionary won't define space as a place so I guess I won't try.

What is the destination you had in mind and why am I going?
Birds have a purpose for traveling, whales too.

Don't you have to pass certain very strict physical conditions to be able to do that? How many people would really be able to? I know I wouldn't.

Technically, not one of these people will ever go to "space". Low earth orbit (LEO) is the best they can do anytime soon.
