The comic in this video is Robins from 2022. It was an okay story, I enjoyed it. As for the Robin gauntlets themselves? Dick Grayson’s is a really good read. I think it happens during a comic called “the robin gauntlet” (or robin year one..idk)

They've retconned Stephanie so many times there's no real reason she failed, if she was ever Robin canonically anymore at all.

Tim's gauntlet can basically be boiled down to "be able to fight crime on your own and not die", because of what happened to Jason 😭

I love how Alfred referred to Robin training as The Cursed Wheel when Duke Thomas was going through it.

I'm probably wrong but I believe it was when Stephanie didn't follow orders from batman to stay put and that let the killer use her as leverage against batman and batman had to let her go but I sadly don't remember which book or issue sadly

If we compare Steph to any other Robins, you’ll realize she acts and reacts the same way as them (bc all the Robins have that trait). She basically failed because that’s what the writer wanted and a majority of the fandom

for damian’s i’d prefer if they used the story from the injustice comics where bruce drops him off on the other side of gotham and challenges him to be back in an hour but he came back 9hrs later coz he was too busy helping people

The Dick Grayson one is a fun read.

Poor Stephanie was used — Batman knew making her Robin would tempt Tim back to the cowl. His rejection was because he never wanted her, not necessarily because she failed.

They asked for being Robin and Bruce said “Bet.” Showing why no sane person would join Batman’s crusade.

Wait so Jason KILLED a guy, and Batman obviously knows he did it but Batman still passed? The red flags were always there.

I like to think that Batman gathers all his villains together like

“Alright, it’s that time again, Scarecrow I want you on full game, Penguin go kill some couples, Two-face we won’t be needing you this time, sorry… Waylon? Good seeing you here.”

Tim earned being Robin by figuring out who Batman was. Also, he took down Joker on his own in his early days. Stephanie was fired after she panicked in a fight with Zsazz (I think) and tried to use a lethal strike on him. She then went on to try and prove herself, but ended up causing a gang war and getting captured by Black Mask. Batman had so much faith in her, he never told her who he was while she was Robin, which worked out since she couldn't give that info to BM while he tortured her.

Robins a fun book. After so long of having to deal with Stephanie not even being a Robin due to Flashpoint, it was wonderful to see that all five Robins apparently regularly get together and discuss being/having been Robin. One thing I also love is when it was referenced that part of Damian's gauntlet is that he didn't kill Tim. Having been raised in the league of Assassins, Damian thought he HAD to defeat Tim to earn a place by Bruce's (his father's) side. And it was noted that despite the fact he could have and it would have not just been regular but encouraged in the league of Assassins, Damian didn't kill Tim... he just beat him within an inch of his life. What's also interesting is that at least before the new 52 (and now it's kinda confusing with continuinities having merged), Damian only became Robin due to Dick wanting to give him a chance when Bruce died and Dick became Batman. Dick is always the big brother and I'd say second to Alfred (who unfortunately is gone now), he really keeps the family together.

What was Jarro’s gauntlet or is he not canon anymore?

I think Jarro's should be accepting his past as who he was and who he will be, remorseful for his actions while also trying to be a hero. Basically similar to Vegeta

Robin's one of my favorite characters. Yes, all of them :)

Doesn’t make any sense with said stories, given that the Felipe case was the last mission Jason went on before being benched during A Death In The Family. Tim’s test already happened prior to that Scarecrow incident. And Damian’s happened during Batman: The Return

Ah, current DC editorial and their ever lack of care of continuity☺️

I like that retro actively Stephanie didn't stick around because she failed Batman's test.
