Why are there no freaking video guides on how to actually get through the installation process? It's been forever since I installed Windows like this, I kept rebooting into the Ventoy menu... Had to figure it out myself to hit F2, browse, and go into the Windows partition and find a folder that had a efix64 file and hit enter on it.. I have seen 100 guides on how to set up a USB for Ventoy, but none on the final steps.. You were the closest, but still no cigar.

Thanks, I had to look it up because I didn't believe it would be that easy. Just copying the iso in raw.

It's debatable whether Ventoy is a silver bullet! I also had several issues with different iso's that are not behaving the same if installed on individual usb drives.

In your example you have the secure boot disabled. If the computer has secure boot enabled, it will not allow booting from the Ventoy drive, so how do you work around that?

i found this video very usfull. Thanks for the tutorial kmd tech. It has been very annoying to alway format or reset your usb (especily for does who is distro hopping because im one of them) Thanks again for the video tutorial!

Boot images are much more than ISO files! How do you link all of the support files like drivers and utility apps and how do you aggregate all the operating systems you might want to boot?

my wndindows 10 iso didn't boot in normal boot but did in wimboot what is the difference ?

DISAPPOINTMENT: I turned a USB 3.1 drive into a Ventoy drive. I put ISO files for both Windows 10 and Hiren's Boot CD on this Ventoy USB drive. I would get the Ventoy drive to start up, but when I would start Hiren's Boot CD I could never get Hiren's Boot CD to "boot" up at all. I tried in Windows Normal Mode and waited a half hour, but nothing ever happened. I then tried that other Windows mode. In this mode it tells you what "percentage" of the files have "Loaded" up. But, after a half hour my files never got any higher than 1% of being loaded up. BOTTOM LINE: Ventoy and Hiren's Boot CD are both BIG DISAPPOINTMENTS!

hey man i would like to ask, if I were to install ventoy on a windows hard disk instead of a external pen drive would i be able to go back to windows without any issues or would i only be able to be booted up only on the ventoy menu and won't be able to go back to windows as in a pen drive, you would just remove it and will be able to boot up normally without ventoy.
correct me if i am wrong, would like to know about it as i don't have a pen drive with me! (;

If I download Windows 11 this way will I be able to keep all of my old files? Or do I have to redownload everything?
