The Turks never have forgotten the fact that the Hellenic forces beat them and chased them beyond Ankara, never losing a battle only to retreat because of political faction iner fighting and abandonment by their allies.
They always bring the Smyrna event and forget how the Ottomans got beaten during the Greek War of independence and during the Balkan Wars and how they were kicked out of the area!
They never fought regular Greek forces in Cyprus since the Greek division there had moved back to mainland Greece in consultation with untrustworthy allies!!!
Maybe, if they keep up this kind of rhetoric, they can find out soon about the Hellenic resolve!
