Is Warcry Underrated, or is it just the best fantasy skirmish game made by Games Workshop? Peachy goes on a deep dive into why he thinks just that, all whilst painting a Corvus Cabal.

You guys should do a Warcry campaign along side the Necromunda one, or instead of it, because I feel the rule system in Warcry would make it much easier for Peachy to run it as there isn’t so many rules to remember. And the system would also lead to shorter videos for the episodes of the campaign.

While Blood Bowl will always be my favourite GW game, Warcry has the best ruleset of GW games that I have experience of. Wish there was a 40K game with a similarly simple ruleset

Warcry is one of my favourite games. You can just draw into loss because of the random combos but if you approach it from the right attitude it can be very liberating. I love the elegance of the one roll resolution, and using the initiative roll as a source of the abilities is such a genius move, I love making one step do double the work.

That was a bloody good Advert. Having a joke about it is one thing, and a very valid way to keep people watching the ad, but linking the advert to the content? Superb.

A marvellous video, sir! HUGE fan of Warcry, and did always enjoy your ability to beer WHTV Twitch streams in that direction (plus tea and hedgehogs). The dollhousing is immense, and would happily watch a whole video on that - and second the requests for a Warcry campaign (Necromunda-style). Cheers for the vid! 🙌

LItterally played my first game of Warcry 4 hours ago, and I have to say this is spot on. It's a great game. Spot on Table-top EDucation Talk.

I can't find the "best TED talk evah" button, guess I'll just gush here. What a beautiful scheme for Corvus Cabal! I've been struggling to figure out something that's not just black on black--you've nailed it!! Thanks, Peachy!!

Warcry is my favourite GW game system, even though I'm not that much into fantasy, it's just more fun than their 40k varieties

I've worked out that the skirmish games are my favourites these days. Underworlds, Warcry and Blood Bowl are all great, and from a hobby perspective they're all perfect for those random ideas you have!

The unique flavour and cool sculpts of the warbands is what I enjoyed most about Warcry. I really hoped Kill Team would basically do the same thing in the 40k universe, but alas, they only ever released a small handful of such unique models

Warcry had me paint 15 warbands painted all Death and all Destruction and then a little mixed from different. But love that I can take a week painted a team and play with my pals later. No other game makes painting so smooth and the rules so simple. Also love that there are endless possibilities with the mission cards. Yeah wish GW would make another box with city terrain but maybe 2 floors with 2-3 destroyed houses.

Genuinely amazing game. My gf wanted to try blood bowl first. She enjoyed it, but not being a gamer of any kind, the rules were a bit mind boggling to her. We then played Necromunda, which she thoroughly enjoyed, but didn't have the time or patience to do all the "admin" that comes with it, so, I took a punt and bought Warcry.... and what a great decision that was!! Now we own 6 warbands, tons of scenary, and friends and family who would have NEVER tried wargaming have had a go and loved it. Excellent game with excellent minis.

The Darkoath Savagers are by far my most favourite war and for Warcry. God I want a fully realised Darkoath AoS Army.

Warcry is one of the reasons i came into the hobby and fell in love with skirmish games. This and Aeronautica Imperialis are some of my favourite games/ game systems GW have ever made

Went to the Warcry tournament at Warhammer Fest. Don't go to tournaments and had never played Warcry. Not only was the game so much fun, but the community is amazing too. There's still plenty of depth to the game (particularly how your warband enters the battle), but it reliably brings together hobbyists that might otherwise struggle to find the right community for them. I myself love converting together my warbands and discovering other players' creations

So glad you made this video :) Warcry is a fantastic game that had a rough launch.

The game wasn't in its best place when it first came out and then COVID tried to bury it which massively impacted it's growth.

Now it has really found its feet and excels for Open, Narrative and Matched play.

I played Warcry during it's first Edition and I really liked esp. because of the alternating Activations system and the simplicity of the rules, beside the handy Battlecard deck, where you draw together your scenario and Victory conditions etc. But it felt a bit unbalanced and swingy bc of the different warbands and their rules and abilities. The amount of books you need(ed) put me off finally. I've switched to One Page Rules and their kind of equivalent called Age of Fantasy Skirmish. The rules are free and simple as Warcry incl. alternating Activations and you can use whatever models you like for it. It plays really fast and feels a lot more balanced. There are even campaign rules for it which are also free! I highly recommend to try out One Page Rules 😊

Have you tried Silver Bayonet? You've already got all the Napoleonics for it and it's a lot of fun. Sharpe v Gothic Horrors might be right up your street.
