Bible Basis: Hebrews 12:14-29



Bible Truth: The writer of Hebrews proclaims that Jesus provides the means needed to boldly approach the presence of God.



Memory Verse: "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:" - Hebrews 12:28



Lesson AIM: That we will CONSIDER the meaning of the Bible's teaching that God is "a consuming fire"; REPENT of our lack of holiness; and CELEBRATE Jesus as the Mediator who brings us into God's presence.

Praise the Lord Woman of God... I do appreciate your perspective. Hebrews is a book that challenges tradition and traditional teachings. And we want to look to the holy scripture to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. First, let me say...should we sin that grace abound. God forbid. Thank God for the Mediator, Jesus paid for the sin of the past, the present and the future. He is all powerful, all knowing and everywhere at the same time. When we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior ... we get positioned, if you will, for God has made us holy (Heb 10:10), we are the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21) and 1 Peter 2:9 continues to tell us who we are and there are a boatload more of scripture... for Jesus did not take that beating, that torture, died - took the keys for death, hell and the grave for naught. The main problem is -- we do not believe it. I like how you said "represent" and "re-present" --- our love relationship with the Lord, being led by the Spirit... we are Ambassadors of Christ, and we "re-present" Him. When the Word says - We are More than Conquerors - that means always in Him. Not one moment I am a victim and the other a Victor. Hallelujah!!! My God always causes me to triumph...thank God -- for it's only because Jesus is the Mediator! And...and... the scripture shows us what holiness is not.... Hallelujah! We want to live a life that brings glory to God and brings salvation to the world, in Jesus name. God bless you.
