Canon Nightmare cannot die unless there's no negativity in the multiverse and canon Nightmare can destroy AUs. I don't know how Canon Nightmares negative aura is so strong that a entire AU can feel it. Nightmares negative aura can cause pain, fear, and even make people want to kill themselves. I would say this is a stalemate since they both can't die but if Nightmare can't beat Epic Sans physically he can definitely beat Epic mentally. Nightmares negativity aura would overwhelm Epic Sans since Epic Sans is somewhat wants to kill himself and doesn't have a positive mind set. Also after Nightmare left Dreamtale the remaining people in Dreamtale became mindless negative zombies because of the negativity Nightmare spread.
