Where I live, the FX30 costs 50% more and during black friday, the R8 was available at half the price of the FX30. Made it a no-brainer purchase for me.

Canon has had the camera app for years. Adjust focus, record, take photos, adjust settings. It's even better with the r8 than it was with my m50 for some reason. 😂

Would have been/was the FX30 for me but after the firmware update debacle I don't know if I will ever buy Sony again
