I LOVE THIS DUDE ..HUMBLE, SINCERE AND VERY RHYTHMICALLY INCLINED

Excellent lesson! I played in a band in the 90’s doing original material. The drummer had metronome and headphones with her. Before rehearsing a song, she would don the earphones and dial in the bpm for the upcoming song (when she needed to) and quickly get us started. She was perfect with tempo in our live performances because she paid attention to tempo.

This dude subdivided metabeats into microbeats into atombeats into quarkbeats.

I have to be honest, I don’t sound like this when I play to the metronome.

Be honest 3:10 you heard the voice the whole time *_because_* he said that. If he asked at the end if we still heard it, maybe it would have worked.

Never heard of this guy in my life, but his style reminds me a lot of my own style, only he's a few pegs above me. I think I have someone I can study and really FEEL, maybe I can get on his level some day. He's such a beast, I instantly love this guy!

Incredible talent. Truly jaw dropping. And a wonderful personality. Thanks Eric, and guitar center. More thanks to guitar center for providing a usable and inexpensive drum kit to finally get me playing 40 years after I had the dream.

I use pro met with my orchestras to develop time. I grew up using a met all the time. There was something about it that I really enjoyed. String players are notorious for having bad time. This has really helped them.

Amazing example of keeping time, something I really need to work on. To be able to be so creative and come back in on the one, never losing it, is difficult - I must bust out this metronome. Great lesson, sort of like an epiphany.

Damn!! If a drummer doesn't keep time with the click in this era of sequenced augmented live shows, it's a mess. Great lesson. What a player. Gotta watch this again. So fluid.

Pro metronome is the best app ever! It is free but if you pay $1.99 you can save your tempos for live performances.
