The Battle of the Atlantic, the longest continuous military campaign[11][12] in World War II, ran from 1939 to the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945, covering a major part of the naval history of World War II. At its core was the Allied naval blockade of Germany, announced the day after the declaration of war, and Germany's subsequent counter-blockade. The campaign peaked from mid-1940 through to the end of 1943.

4:40. We lost our grandfather in 1943 on board the HMS Celendine, a merchant seaman who volunteered yet was dead the year his son was born. Respect to James Donald Cameron. ☘️🙏

In about 1942 the Americans designed an acoustic, homing torpedo which was code named Fido. It was intended to be carried in the bomb bays of B24 Liberators. The crews of the aircraft had orders only to launch when German submarines were diving. This way the Germans didn't know about the weapon. Fido was given to the Royal Navy and the Canadian Navy.

One factor that is usually ignored or downplayed is German command's insistance on chattering away on the radio.

As far as I can tell, Sierra Leone has been named as such since at least the early 1600s.

Cover the Battleships of the Royal Navy in WW2 please I do like the Submarines but I’m more interested in Battleships like the Queen Elizabeth Class, Revenge Class, King George The Fifth Class and the super Armoured and powerful 16 inch gun Armed Nelson Class. As well as the 2 Renown Class Battlecruisers and the mighty Hood.

Also do a cover of their colossal Grand Fleet in WW1

I don't think it's a "battle" so much as a campaign. A "battle" lasted 5-6 years makes zero sense. It was clearly a campaign with many, many, many engagements and even actual battles.
