The people should never ever be stopped from organizing their protest but only be asked to make it a peaceful one.
The government has stopped talking to Nigerians for over a decade now. Imagine the mistake of the removal of fuel subsidies which has destroyed the economy. Meeting with traditional rulers about planned protest is not the solution because the traditional rulers don't decide on any of bills at the bus stop, market, school, utilities bills at the home, hospitals, etc. No one decide correctly on what he can imagine and not feel!

they shouldn't have waited for a time like this before recognizing that Nigerians are humans. do we all have to die of hunger before the government can do the right thing. Nigerians are not asking for much except for the basic amenities common in every part of the world. whys the government blowing a protest out of proportion? it wouldn't have happened and nobody would have thought about protest if they were doing the right thing as should.

The welfare of the citizens constitute part of affairs, duties and responsibility of the government.
