My dad worked for the postal service my whole life. I remember as a kid my parents asking what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I said I wanted to work for the post office just like my dad. With the straightest face ever he just told me "No." and that was that. He was President of his Union for like 4 years, worked at the place for nearly 30. He wouldn't wish that job on his worst enemy. It's back breaking labor and every chance they get those benefits get cut more and more.

Because of the managements stupidity it's far too many hours required. Most office people never carried mail. They knew someone that would move them on up to an office job. It's crazy how the new employees are shafted

Yeah but what they don't tell you is that you have to wait 18 months to 2years before you can get benefits but your doing the same work as the rest.. forget that!! Well that's in the TX area
