I experience optimism bias all of the time. Also I believe that Vader's chamber ball sphere station? It's probably something like cerebro from X-men. It helps him find force sensitives and wipe them out. Also He's mostly robot so it's probably like a repair/recharge station as well.

I have to wonder if optimism bias tempers with age and experience. I can remember being wildly excited about The Phantom Menace in 1999 when I was 23. Now that I'm almost 40, I'm much more tempered in my response. Excited? Yes, but cautious as well. It's kinda like going to Mos Eisely.
