I got in contact with back pedal and told them this video idea i had! Hunt me down if your trackers are that good!.... and they agreed. This is not a paid advert/sponsored video etc its literally a video idea i really wanted to create and the result is great!

I would keep using the airtag (just replace the battery) in addition always better to double up - also works in areas where GPS is bad (it doesn't use GPS it uses bluetooth with other devices around it) and provides proximity tracking when near by far more accurately than GPS (AR/point your phone in the right direction etc.)

Do It PROPER ....DOnt tell them ...

week park the bike in your flat ...Phone them up report it stolen lets see how long takes them to come to your flat and who they send what they say to get bike back ..dont tell them you customer ...just tell them they cant have bike we can see what really happens want know how long it takes for them to do anything and who do they send if anybody

You should do this ...because endorsing them ....If some one gets this tracker and it turns out to be trash customer service takes them days to find bike and when told go away they dont follow up ...
Then some your viewers will not be happy it best you really put that device to Real test since it peoples bikes.... this pretty much you making promo video for free for them and with out really finding out if that product really anygood proper real life test ...it almost like perfect video for company and not so great one for you ..The video makes them look good and makes you look not so great

You so busy endorsing them that you not single negative point on that product and you say they not paying you ....What we got here was not so honest review ...we dident even get an honest opinion ..Not even mention on how big it is compared to other trackers and it wired into bike and how it hard to hide on dude WTF ....some brown nosing here

Im not in the UK but it looks like a good product in fairness. Hope it does well as it would be great if it was expanded to scooters and motorbikes.

You can take the magnet out of the AirTag and have it working still but not giving any sounds out. Followed a YouTube video to undo the three clips around the battery case.

The Tracker Wired into the EBike battery a failure ....aint hiding that with out drilling hole into frame for cables ....

Have you seen the size of this tracker it two them wired together then wired into the battery ....Good Luck Hiding that

If your app says the same thing your bike does wouldn't they just use the phones location details? Im sure they see your location too?

This all sounds very promising but this seemed somewhat stage. The way tracker company happen to capture themselves. I do wonder was this completely random (i.e. not organising this video). Would the tracker company be so prompt to get people to go out and locate it or do they send riders out 'whenever they can' and if they are busy then your not going to get such a responsive outcome...

It's all well and good cycling up to you in a demo setup but how does it work with actual bike thieves. Not like they'll just stop cycling and be like yeah you got me. Also what if they're armed? What if the bike has been put somewhere that can't be reached? A tracker on your bike seems like a smart idea but I just wonder how much this company can actually do to get the bike back.

Out of curiosity how many recovery agents do they have working for them and how would they go about a theft in a rural area? I think this was a good video idea but not really a real world scenario outside of London.

The problem with trackers is that they can be blocked or detected. Thieves are adapting to them and some carry the kit to counter them. Whether it be a van to act as a faraday cage, or a signal detector that helps them home in on the tracker and remove it. I know of a company that had four trackers fitted into a four vans. All done properly, and hidden. The vans all got pinched, and the trackers were left in the car park.

Thing is with GPS trackers ..the GPS signal can be blocked for example by storing stolen item in a lockup/building/van. Far better to get a tracker that also connects to the cellular mobile network and also emits an RF signal. They do exist

SO what's the situation if they track down a thief who is still on the bike and refusing to pull over? as these guys have zero power, they can't touch the thief or cause him any harm. so i'm not sure what would actually happen once they track the bike down?

Nice video, however it just felt like a sponsored video. Made me laugh when you said you wanted to not move around to make it easy. What’s the point then, because thieves are gonna do the opposite. My bike got robbed. Turned up at the location and it was in a van with lots of other stolen bikes. Police were uninterested. Didn’t want to confront on my own so had to suck up the loss.
