This is amazing. Nowadays, most bands seem to forget how to play black metal properly. It's not about fucking "chaotic louder=better noisy crap". It's all about atmosphere and rawness. And I don't even mind clean vocals, they actually fit. Waiting for some releases!

This song is a monument. It's fast and slow at the same time. It bends time. It's perfect in it's simplicity. The studio version offers more interesting sub-melodies, while this live version brings a more simplistic and straightforward approach. It would be great, if the live version was closer to the original, but still, it's more than we could ever wish! The ultimate contribution of Kvitrafn is most welcome! I'm glad he has'nt abandoned the black metal scene completely.

Saw Gorgoroth at Garage in Bergen. Stood two meters from Gaahl the whole fucking show getting gazepierced as fuck and kind of dying mentally of awe as he held his 🤘🏻high for an hour straight. Don’t quite remember if Kvitrafn was the drummer at that show. It was after the Incipit album. I was very, very drunk. Also saw them at Verftet, possibly at a Hole In The Sky fest. Kvitrafn on drums. Later, in 2006 I got a job in a Bergen kindergarten, where I worked with Kilman. He was in Grimfisr then.
